Healthy Neighborhoods Walking Tour

Fall is in the air and it’s great walking weather. I’ve always believed that one of things that helped shape who I am and what makes this city so meaningful to me comes from our neighborhoods. Truth is, the fascinating people who inspire me, the rich history that celebrates my heritage and the strength that taught me that anything is possible all came from Biddeford’s neighborhoods. I think what sets us apart from other like cities is the strong sense of community that lives here. Biddeford will only ever be as great and as successful as our neighborhoods.

I want to invite you to join me on a short, healthy walk across the city. For 7 days in October I will be inviting any and all candidates running for any seat in the November 5th election to join me in meeting you and listening to the things that matter most to you, let you ask questions or offer your ideas for how to move Biddeford from good to great. Share YOUR vision, voice YOUR concerns, offer YOUR ideas in a healthy stroll across the city.

While we obviously won’t be able to hit every neighborhood in 7 days, we will be able to pick neighborhoods in all 7 wards. I hope you’ll join me for at least one walk or as many as you’d like. Walking is a fun, low-impact and social activity that is also healthy for you! Best part? It’s FREE! Bring the family together or simply come by yourself – everyone is welcome. Healthy walks, healthy neighborhoods, meeting new people.. What’s not to like?

Put on those walking shoes, bring the dog and grab others to come walk with you and represent the strength of our neighborhoods. Share your thoughts or simply enjoy the walk.

See ya there!
